Rockstar Games has officially revealed a new premium physical collection for Grand Theft Auto VI, and its $399.99 price immediately makes comparisons with older Rockstar collector editions unavoidable.
Officially called The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, the package contains 11 physical collectibles inspired by Leonida and the in-game Macca the Gator TV show. One thing it does not contain, however, is GTA 6 itself. Rockstar clearly states that the game is sold separately on the official Goodtime State – Vice City Collection product page.
That creates an interesting comparison with Rockstar’s previous releases. GTA 5 had a $149.99 Collector’s Edition that included the game, while Red Dead Redemption 2 offered a $99.99 Collector’s Box with physical collectibles but sold the actual game separately.

One of the most interesting inclusions is the double-sided Leonida souvenir poster. Rockstar says the front features characters from Macca the Gator while the reverse provides a full view of the Leonida map.
The package also differs from traditional collector editions by including recognizable real-world brands such as Oakley and New Era alongside fictional Vice City merchandise.
What Did the GTA 5 Collector’s Edition Include?
Grand Theft Auto V followed a much more traditional collector-edition format when it launched in 2013.
The US GTA 5 Collector’s Edition cost $149.99 and included everything from the Special Edition, including a copy of Grand Theft Auto V itself. The biggest difference isn’t simply the number of items.
It’s what kind of items Rockstar is selling.
GTA V focused on a traditional premium game edition: the game, SteelBook, map, physical merchandise and digital bonuses were combined into one package.

The most obvious examples are the Oakley Frogskins sunglasses and New Era 9FORTY hat. These are branded consumer products rather than inexpensive paper collectibles or purely fictional props. They sit alongside a figure, crossbody bag, map poster and several smaller Vice City-themed pieces.
In other words, Rockstar appears to be positioning the Goodtime State collection closer to a premium lifestyle merchandise set than a traditional video game collector’s edition.

Does the GTA 6 Collector’s Box Include the Game?
