No PC version of GTA 6 has been announced. Rockstar lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch. There is no PC date, no PC preorder and no official PC system requirements yet.

Many PC players want to know one thing before launch: can they play GTA 6 on a computer, and if so, when? This page answers with dated statements from Rockstar and Take-Two, and it keeps confirmed facts apart from guesses.
We checked Rockstar’s official GTA VI page on October 13, 2026, and it lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch. It does not mention PC anywhere on the page.

What Has Rockstar Officially Said About PC?
On November 6, 2025, Rockstar moved the launch to November 19, 2026, and its statement named PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the platforms. Game Informer reported that the statement came with Take-Two’s quarterly earnings report and was later posted on Rockstar’s website.
That statement did not mention a PC version, and Rockstar’s GTA VI page today still lists only two platforms with no PC logo, price, or system requirements. Rockstar has not said that GTA 6 will skip PC, and it has not said that a PC version is planned, so the honest status is that PC is not announced.
What Did the Take-Two CEO Say About PC?
Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, talked about PC in a November 2025 interview on CNBC’s Squawk Box. He said, “I think it’s moving towards PC, and business is moving towards open rather than closed.” PC Gamer reported the interview on November 17, 2025.
He was describing the games industry as a whole and did not announce a GTA 6 PC version, and PC Gamer noted that GTA 6 had still not been announced for PC at the time. Some headlines treated this comment as a hint that PC is coming, but a general comment about the industry is not a release plan, so we do not count it as confirmation.
How Long Did Past Rockstar Games Take to Reach PC?
Rockstar’s recent big games launched on consoles first, and the table below shows how long PC players waited for each one.
| Game | Console release | PC release | Wait |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto IV | April 29, 2008 | December 2, 2008 | About 7 months |
| Grand Theft Auto V | September 17, 2013 | April 14, 2015 | About 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 5, 2019 | About 12 months |
Dates come from Sportskeeda for GTA IV and GTA V, Guru3D for the GTA V PC date, and TechRadar for Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar hasn’t said GTA 6 will follow this pattern, since the table only shows what happened before.
When Could the GTA 6 PC Release Date Be?
Adding the same gaps to November 19, 2026 gives three rough windows: a 7-month gap points to June 2027, a 12-month gap points to November 2027, and a 19-month gap points to June 2028.
This is our own math and not a Rockstar plan, because Rockstar can choose any date and nothing in the table forces a repeat of the past. Some leak pages name an exact PC day, but treat any page that does as a guess until Rockstar posts the date on its Newswire.
How Were Past Rockstar PC Versions Announced?
Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC on October 4, 2019, one month before the November 5 launch, and preorders opened on the Rockstar Games Launcher on October 9. The game reached the Epic Games Store, Greenman Gaming and Humble Store on October 23, and Steam followed in December.
Dates can also move: the GTA V PC launch slipped from March to April 14, 2015, according to a Guru3D report from February 24, 2015, and the GTA IV PC date moved from November 18 to December 2, 2008, based on retailer listings reported by Exophase. The lesson is that PC news may arrive only weeks before a PC launch, and when it does, it will come from Rockstar first.
What Is Still Unknown About a GTA 6 PC Version?
Because no PC version is announced, every detail in this list is also unannounced, and we will fill in each item only after Rockstar confirms it.
- The price of a PC edition.
- Which store or launcher would sell it.
- PC system requirements and the install size.
- Graphics options such as frame rate limits and resolution settings.
- Whether mods would be supported.
- Whether online features would match the console version.
Which Platforms Can You Use on November 19?
On November 19, 2026, you can play GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and our GTA 6 price guide lists the editions and what each one costs.
Should You Buy a Gaming PC or Laptop for GTA 6 Now?
No official PC requirements exist, so no store can tell you which parts GTA 6 will need, and any chart that calls its numbers official without linking to Rockstar is a guess. Our system requirements page shows labeled estimates that use the PC specs Rockstar published for GTA V Enhanced and Red Dead Redemption 2 as a reference, so if you plan to buy or build a PC, wait for the official numbers first. If you need a laptop sooner for other games, our gaming laptop guide compares current options.
How to Spot Fake GTA 6 PC News
- A PC preorder page. No official PC preorder exists, so a seller offering a PC key is not selling a real product.
- A requirements chart marked official with no link to Rockstar.
- A leak that gives an exact PC date but names no source.
- A download or file that promises early access to a PC version.
- A headline that says confirmed but quotes only an executive talking about PC in general.
Real news appears first on Rockstar’s official GTA VI page and on the Rockstar Newswire, so check there before you trust a headline or click a download.
What Would Count as Official PC Confirmation?
- Rockstar adds PC to the platform list on its GTA VI page.
- A Rockstar Newswire post names PC and gives a date.
- A PC store page goes live on the Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, or Steam.
- Rockstar Support publishes PC system requirements for GTA 6.
We will update this page when any of these appear, and you can follow our News Hub for each Rockstar announcement.
GTA 6 PC Questions and Answers
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version, and its official page lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
When is the GTA 6 PC release date?
There is no PC date. Past Rockstar games reached PC 7 to 19 months after consoles, which points to June 2027 at the earliest by our math, but that is an estimate and not an announcement.
Will GTA 6 come to Steam or the Epic Games Store?
Rockstar has not named any PC store. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on the Rockstar Games Launcher first, reached the Epic Games Store and others on October 23, 2019, and came to Steam in December.
Are there official GTA 6 PC system requirements?
No, Rockstar has not published any. Our system requirements page shows estimates that are clearly labeled as estimates.
Is any GTA 6 PC preorder real?
No. There is no official PC version, so there is no official PC preorder; treat PC keys offered by sellers as scams.
Why did Rockstar launch on consoles first?
Rockstar has not explained this for GTA 6. Its recent games, GTA IV, GTA V, and Red Dead Redemption 2, all reached consoles before PC.
Should I buy a gaming PC or laptop for GTA 6 now?
Wait if GTA 6 is the only reason, because without official requirements nobody can say which parts you will need.
How will I know when a PC version is confirmed?
Watch Rockstar’s official GTA VI page and the Rockstar Newswire. We will also update this page and our News Hub.
Which platforms can I use on November 19, 2026?
