It also says players who pre-order a digital copy can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026. The physical edition comes with a download code in the box, available from November 12.
The release names no exact unlock hour and no file size. The only clock time in it is for pre-orders, which opened at midnight local time on June 25.What Time Does GTA 6 Unlock?
There is no official answer yet. Here is what we know.
- Confirmed: The date is November 19, 2026.

Some reports show the US West Coast on its own midnight, and others do not. Check your own store listing in launch week.
What About Pakistan?
The reports we found do not list Pakistan. If Pakistan follows the same local midnight rule, the unlock would be 12:00 AM on November 19 Pakistan time, which is 7:00 PM UTC on November 18.
That is our estimate, not a report. Look at the game page in your PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store to see what your region shows.
How to Find Your Own Unlock Time
- Find your UTC offset. Pakistan is UTC+5. India is UTC+5:30.
- Take 12:00 AM on November 19 in your time zone.
- Subtract your offset to get UTC. For UTC+5, midnight is 7:00 PM UTC on November 18.
- Open your console’s store page for GTA 6 and compare. Trust the store over any website, including ours.
When Can You Preload GTA 6?
Preloading starts on November 12, 2026, for digital pre-orders, according to Rockstar. Preloading only downloads the files. You cannot play before the unlock.
To be ready, pre-order in your console store, then check your download queue on November 12. If the game does not appear, restart the console and check again.
A physical copy comes with a download code in the box on November 12. Rockstar’s release does not say whether it also includes a disc.
How Big Is the GTA 6 Download?
Rockstar has not published an install size. Any exact number you see today is a guess.
One outlet estimates about 120 to 130 GB or more, but that is not official. A real size should show in the store before preload begins, though that is an expectation, not a promise. Make free space now so you are not forced to delete games in a rush.
Be careful with fake size screenshots and “ISO” files. Some have carried malware. Only download the game from your console store.
Can You Play Early With a Different Region?
Some fans plan to switch to New Zealand to play first. On Xbox, this means changing the console region. On PlayStation, it means a separate account for that country.
Reports warn that this can risk a suspended account. We do not recommend it. A few hours are not worth losing a game you paid for.
Is There a GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus?
Yes. Rockstar says every pre-order and purchase before November 20, 2026 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders also get a free month of GTA+.
The Standard Edition costs $79.99, and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. See our GTA 6 price guide for what each edition includes.
Is GTA 6 Coming to PC at Launch?
No. Rockstar lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Read our GTA 6 PC release date report for the latest. You can also compare the consoles in our PS5 vs. Xbox Series X|S guide, or check the GTA 6 release date page.
